The YWCA, in partnership with the Ontario Fitness Council (www.ontariofitnesscouncil.com), the Certified Professional Trainers Network (www.cptn.com) and Mohawk College (www.mohawkcollege.ca), can help you do just that. Study basic anatomy, movement mechanics, physiology of exercise, principles of training, basic nutrition and weight management. A prerequisite for Group Fitness Leader and Personal Trainer Modules. Begins Wed., September 7th from 7pm-10pm for 13 weeks.
Group Fitness Leader Module
Apply fitness theory in the development of a safe, effective, fitness class with emphasis on music and phrasing, class design, cueing, program planning and teaching/leading. Location: YWCA, 75 Macnab street south *register still through Mohawk College. Sundays, October 2, 16, 23, 30 and November 6 and 13th. 12pm-4:30pm.
Personal Trainer Module
Prepare for a Certified Professional Trainer Network designation. Study advanced anatomy, exercise physiology, and biomechanics in program design, as well as consulting skils and the business aspects of personal training. Starts Monday, September 12, and runs for 13 weeks. 7pm-10:30pm
