Walk-a-Mile in Her Shoes … (photos to enjoy)!

On Sunday June 24th the Walk-a-Mile in Her Shoes march took place in conjunction with the Hamilton Open Streets festival.   Walk-a-Mile in Her Shoes is an event that raises awareness and funds to help eradicate violence against women and support women living in poverty.

This was the 3rd annual walk hosted by YWCA Hamilton and as you can imagine, it has already grown bigger and brighter than the previous years.  Men and women from all walks of life came out to trade their regular footwear for red heels to support women in need.

Here are a few photos I snapped along the way.  Enjoy!

prior to the march, these young men have already put on mileage in these heels!

these men in scrubs are looking great!

getting warmed up by the YWCA Hamilton Zumba Queens!

they’re ready for the march, here they go!
